
Two Bison Finish Top Five in the Decathlon at the Bison Outdoor Classic

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell track & field finished the final day of the Bison Outdoor Classic with two top five placements in the decathlon. Will Feddeler and Andrew Tandler also unlocked spots in Bucknell's top ten list with their excellent performances. The multi competition capped a successful weekend for Bucknell track & field, as it prepares for the forthcoming Patriot League Outdoor Championships.Â
Results
Feddeler placed fourth with 6105 points, inserting himself fifth in Bucknell history. The freshman accomplished the feat by placing top five in all ten events, including four second-place feats in the 100-meter dash (11.22), shot put (12.07m), 400-meter hurdles (51.78), and 1500-meter run (4:53.76).Â
"I am happy with my mark!" said Feddeler. "I feel I left a lot on the table, so I am really excited for leagues."
Tandler was right behind his Bison teammate, slotting fifth with 6035 points. The total tied him for eighth in Bucknell history with Ben Burgess (2015). The sophomore did not win an event but was remarkably consistent finishing top five in every category but one. He placed second in the javelin throw, tossing 46.12m.Â
"Overall, a very exciting two days," said Tandler. "I am happy with my overall performance and can't wait for our next meet."
The Orange & Blue remain home for next weekend's Bucknell Team Challenge. The squad will hold a Senior Day ceremony after the competition's conclusion.Â
