Women’s Tennis Visits Saint Francis, Hosts Navy

- The Bison women's tennis squad has a split weekend as they travel to Saint Francis on Saturday and then take on Navy in their first home Patriot League match of the season on Sunday.
- Bucknell comes into this match 5-6 overall and 0-1 in the Patriot League.
- Bucknell last took a spring break trip to Florida and went 1-2 with a win over Southeastern University and losses to Florida Southern and Patriot League foe Boston University.

Saint Francis at a Glance
- Saint Francis is 9-5 overall on the season and currently on a two-game winning streak after taking down LIU n\and Wagner last weekend.
- The Red Flashes defeated LIU and Wagner by slim margins with each match going 4-3 in favor of Saint Francis.
- The last time out for Saint Francis was on the road at Wagner. Their freshman Morgan Tuffs clinched the win as she won her no.6 singles match 6-4, 6-4.
- Diana Zuba leads the Red Flashes in singles victories with a 20-6 record on the season thus far. Zuba is also part of the leading doubles team for Saint Francis alongside Dasha Chichkina and the duo has 13 wins on the season.
Navy at a Glance
- Navy is heading into the weekend 10-9 overall on the season and 0-0 in Patriot League Play. The midshipmen will begin the weekend on Saturday at Lehigh for their first Patriot League match of the season and then travel to Bucknell on Sunday for their second.
- The midshipmen are coming off of a 4-2 loss to Middle Tennessee mid-last week which ended their three-game winning streak. Middle Tennessee went 2-1 in doubles play to take the first point and then came singles play where the Midshipmen picked up two points, but Middle Tennessee would add three to make it 4-2 and take the win.
- Emily Tannenbaum leads the midshipmen in singles wins with 24 on the season so far. Tannenbaum and Parvathi Shanker lead the team in doubles wins with 11.
Next Up
- The Bison will stay at home for two matches next weekend as they take on Patriot League opponent Loyola on Saturday, March 29 at 2 p.m. and Saint Joseph's on March 30 at 12 p.m. Both games will be played on the Varsity Tennis Courts.
