Rippey's 3000-Meter Run Win Highlights Bison Women's ECAC Effort

BOSTON, Mass.- Two members of the Bucknell women's track & field program made the trek to Boston for the annual ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships. Despite the slight squad, Bucknell recorded several impressive results including an event victory, earning 16 points to finish 15th out of 30 teams.Â
Results
Caryn Rippey became the fifth Bison athlete and the first since Siobhan O'Sullivan in 2023 to win an event at the ECAC Indoor Championships. The junior distance star ran 9:44.56 to emerge victorious in the 3000-meter run. She beat second place Olivia Lutkevich of Navy by 0.09 seconds. The time ranks fourth in Bucknell history.Â
Anna Posh completed her indoor career with a third-place finish in the 500-meter dash. The senior runner raced 1:15.21.Â
Both runners received All-East honors for finishing in the top eight.Â
The Bison program will start outdoor action at the Shippensburg Quad meet on March 22.Â
