LEWISBURG, Pa.- Bucknell collected several wins but ultimately fell underneath the No. 23 Lehigh Mountain Hawks onslaught to lose 29-13 at Davis Gym on Friday night. The Bison (5-9, 3-3 EIWA) crept within 9-6 and 17-13 but never led in the meeting between Keystone State rivals. Lehigh improved to 5-4 overall and 5-1 in EIWA competition.Â
Bucknell forfeited the 125-weight class giving the Mountain Hawks a 6-0 lead and an advantage that they would never lose. Lehigh increased its lead to 9-0 when Matty Lopes upset No. 28 Kurt Phipps (133) 3-2. No. 20 Dylan Chappell (141) halted his losing streak with a decisive pin over Seamus Mack.
