Women's Track & Field Embarks to Navy for Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell women's track & field team heads to Annapolis this weekend for the Patriot League Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Bison finished fourth last year and are aiming to break into the top three.

Patriot League on ESPN+ Coverage
Track events for the 2024-25 Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championships will be streamed on ESPN+. Field events during the championship will not be streamed, but up-to-date content featuring Patriot League multimedia journalist Paige Messier will be available by following @PatriotLeague on Instagram.
Patriot League Championship Major Awards
All-Patriot League status will be determined by the event finishes at the 2024-25 Patriot League Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship, with first-place winners earning first-team All-League honors. The runner-up in each event will earn second-team honors.

Following the conclusion of the meet, the League head coaches will vote on several individual major awards. A men's and women's track athlete, field athlete and rookie of the meet will be selected. Men's and women's coach of the year awards will also be selected. The Patriot League will also present awards to the men's and women's highest scorers of the meet.
Donner's Debriefing
"Our women are young and some might say in a rebuilding year but we think of it as a reloading year. Army, Boston, and Navy seem to be the favored top three with us and Lehigh as darkhorses. It is a very intense weekend and we are excited to compete."

Last Time Out (Bucknell Tuneup)
- Bucknell collected four victories at the final indoor home meet.Â
- Ava Lomberto tied a personal record time of 7.99 to win the 60-meter dash.Â
- Ella Vogel handily won the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.49.Â
- Anna Posh ended up the only runner in the 500-meter dash after the other two scheduled participants scratched. The senior raced 1:16.10.Â
- The last Bison victory belonged to Grace Vives in the 800-meter dash. She ran for a season best time of 2:17.10.Â
- Madison Fowler placed second in the weight throw on a toss of 55-6.50. The result won the freshman her third indoor Rookie of the Week award tying the Bison record set by current assistant coach Kaitlin Salisbury.Â
- The team finished fourth at the 2024 Patriot League Indoor Championships collecting 105.5 points, three gold medals, and three new school records.
- Meghan Quinn had a banner day. The senior runner won the 200-meter dash with a scintillating time of 23.73. The mark set a meet record and improved her Bucknell best ranking. Her 7.49 time in the 60-meter dash won her silver and broke Kaitlin Salisbury's record of 7.50 set in 2019. It set Quinn's ninth school record.Â
- Karen Hull reset the school record in the high jump with a leap of 5-10 ½. The jump bettered Hull's previous best of 5-8 by 2 ½ inches and supplied ten points to the Bison war chest. She added five points to the Bison effort with her fifth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. The senior had a time of 8.78.
- The Orange & Blue dominated the high jump. Olivia Boyce and Abby Kates shared second place with a jump of 5-6 with each jumper earning seven points. Every other jumper finished 5-3 or lower. Boyce's mark of 5-6 placed her ninth in Bucknell history.
- The Bison jumps squad continued its success with freshman Megan Baggetta notching third in the triple jump. Her mark of 39-2 ½ ranks seventh in Bucknell history.
- Meghan Quinn (200m) & Karen Hull (High Jump) received First Team All-Patriot League honors.
- Olivia Boyce (High Jump), Lila Gaughan (Long Jump), and Meghan Quinn (60m) earned Second Team All-Patriot League laurels.
