Noah Williamson Repeats as Patriot League Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell center Noah Williamson earned his second straight Patriot League Men's Basketball Player of the Week citation on Monday after he averaged 23.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in two games against teams ranked first and second in the league standings.
Williamson recorded 18 points and 12 rebounds in Bucknell's 71-49 rout of first-place American last Wednesday. It was his league-leading ninth double-double of the season.
On Saturday, Williamson tallied 29 points and six rebounds, hitting 12 of 16 shots from the field, in a wild 116-110 double-overtime loss at second-place Army. That was his ninth 20-point performance of the season, with seven of those coming against Patriot League opponents.
Williamson is now averaging 17.0 points per game on the season, the third-best mark in the Patriot League. His 20.8 ppg average in league games is the best in the conference.
Bucknell's three-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday, when the Bison tied the NCAA record with their eighth overtime game of the season. Bucknell is now 7-5 in Patriot League play, good for a tie for third place with Colgate. American remains in first at 9-3, with Army second at 8-4.
The Bison host fifth-place Boston University (6-6) on Wednesday night at Sojka Pavilion.
