LEWISBURG, Pa.- Kira Leclercq accomplished one of the finest all-around careers in a Bucknell Field Hockey jersey and the senior defender capped her four-year tenure Wednesday by becoming the program's fourth All-American, as announced by the NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association). Leclercq earned Third Team laurels thereby running the string of consecutive seasons with an Orange & Blue All-American to three.Â

"I'm extremely proud of Kira for earning this accomplishment," said Bucknell head coach Kelsey Kolojejchick. "Being named to the All-American team is a testament to her dedication, consistency, and the hard work she's put in throughout this season and her time at Bucknell. This is so well-deserved and a great way to complete her fantastic Bucknell career and I couldn't be happier for her."
She joined decorated Bison legends Lauren Campbell (2001; Third Team), Kaelyn Long (2020-21; Third Team), Lily Neilson (2023; Second Team & 2024; Third Team) as Bucknell Field Hockey's All-Americans.Â
Captain Leclercq led Bucknell's offensive and defensive operations in 2025. The senior tallied six defensive saves, 13 goals, and 32 points, all of which placed second in the Patriot League, as the Bison finished 10-7 for its first double-digit win total since 2018. She nationally ranked fifth in defensive saves, 24th in goals per game (.76), and 27th in points per game (1.88).Â
She completed her career, rewriting the Bucknell and Patriot League record book. In the Bison career scrolls, she sits second in defensive saves (27), tied for seventh in points (73), and ninth in goals (27). She owns four slots in the single-season archives (three for defensive saves and one for points). Her 27 defensive saves rank fourth in conference history. Leclercq led the NCAA in 2024 in defensive saves (9).
Her trophy case groans with accolades. She became the first Bison to earn consecutive Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year awards (2024 & 2025), she received three NFHCA All-Region laurels (two First Team & one Second Team), notched All-Patriot League honors every season (three First Team & one Second Team), landed two First Team All-ECAC, slotted on two Academic All-Patriot League Teams, and was selected to the 2025Â NFHCA Division I All-Senior Team.Â
Leclercq was one of only three Patriot League players to earn the designation out of the 48 honorees and was joined on the Third Team by American's Jordan Reicher and Agustina Roffo.Â
Her postgraduate plans involve a future in applied geoscience at graduate school while trying to stay tied to field hockey in a coaching capacity.Â
