Donner's Debriefing
"The injury bug hit us this week and two of our top four runners either dropped out or did not race. I was hoping we would have others step up, but it wasn't quite enough, and we didn't finish where we were expecting. Didden looked great and Ethan Pratt-Perez seems to be getting fitter, but there was too large of a gap between our second runner compared to our third through fifth. 3-5 will be the key to a higher finish at the league championships."
Northeastern won the event with 58 points. Saint Joseph's finished second with 83 and UMBC placed third with 136.Â
Captain Didden continued his fantastic senior campaign with a silver medal finish. His time of 24:24.1 was a heartbreaking 0.6 seconds away from first place. Didden has paced the Bison runners in every competition this fall.Â
Pratt-Perez finished 14th with a time of 24:45.4. The sophomore runner was 0.1 seconds behind the next runner. Pratt-Perez found his groove in the back half of the race.Â
David Carillo placed 53rd, as the sophomore has emerged as one of Bucknell's steadier options. He ran 25:30.0 and moved up six spots during the final stretch.Â
Carter Paul landed at 58th, running 25:34.8. The junior distanceman advanced 13 places in the last portion, displaying impressive stamina.Â
Ryan Pepperman rounded out the Bison scorers at 62nd. The former Patriot League Men's Rookie of the Week made his pitch for the league roster by running 25:36.9 and jumping up 17 spots in the final segment.Â
The Patriot League Championships will be held on Oct. 31 at Lehigh.Â
