Yun Leads Women’s Golf on Day 2 of Bucknell Invitational

RESULTS
LEWISBURG, Pa. – Nicole Yun fired a 3-over-par 73 and the Bucknell women's golf team posted a 3-4 team score on Saturday in the second round of the Bucknell Invitational. The Bison fell one spot into third place in the team standings, trailing Penn and Towson.
Yun backed up her opening-round 74 with the 73, and she is tied for seventh place at 7-over for the tournament. She made three birdies on Saturday, including a pair back-to-back at holes 8 and 9.
The Bison also counted 76s from Lila Smith and Sophia Bardunias and a 79 from Paige Richter. All three are at 152 for the tournament and tied for 18th place. Katherine Vice's 81 was discarded.
Tara Thomas shot 79 to lead Bucknell's three unattached players for the second straight day. Erin Drahnak carded an 81 and Katrina von Behren 82. Thomas, who posted a 73 on Friday, is also T-18th at 152 total.
Penn's Debby Chang is 3-over through 36 holes (72-71), and she has a two-shot lead over teammate Maggie Ni heading into Sunday's final round. Ni carded a 1-under 69 in round two. Four players are tied for third at +6.
Penn led the field with a 285 team tally on Saturday, and with a 580 total the Quakers have opened up a 22-stroke lead on second-place Towson. The Tigers have a 36-hole total of 602, one ahead of Bucknell and four in front of fourth-place Lehigh. Holy Cross round out the top five at 623.
The third and final round gets underway on Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
