Men’s Golf Moves Up Two Spots, Finishes 10th at The Goat

RESULTS
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Bucknell men's golf team posted its best score of the weekend with a final-round 292, and the Bison moved up two spots to a 10th-place finish in a strong 15-team field at The Goat, hosted by Navy at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course.
All five Bison in the lineup shot 74 or better on the challenging par-71 track on Sunday. Michael Rudnick led the way with a 72, freshmen Jack Hartman and Patrick Pritsios both shot 73, and Hayden Quinn and James Robbins both closed with 74s. Bucknell's 292 was tied for the third-best score in the field.
Quinn (73-74-74), Rudnick (76-73-72), and Hartman (72-76-73) all shot 221 over 54 holes to finish in a tie for 28th place.
Quinn made his second eagle of the weekend, this one coming on the par-5 third hole. In addition, the Bison quintet combined for 10 birdies on Sunday, nine of them coming on the front nine.
Pacific started the final round with a commanding 15-shot lead and cruised to victory with a 292 composite on Sunday and a 1-under 851 total. Loyola had the round of the day with a 1-under 283 to move up to second place at 860. William & Mary (872), Columbia (874), and Navy (879) rounded out the top five.
Loyola's Gustavo Rangel held off Navy's Jack Tarzy by one shot for medalist honors. Rangel finished with a 3-under 210 (68-73-69). Pacific's Travis Robbie and Timothy Jung tied for third at 1-under.
Bucknell is back in action on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at West Virginia's Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational at Mystic Rock Resort.
