RESULTS

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Tori Allen and freshman Cameron King teamed for two doubles wins and also won their singles matches on a productive opening day for the Bucknell women's tennis team at the Bucknell Invitational.

The Bison went 4-3 in singles and 3-3 in doubles against visitors Lafayette, Saint Francis, and Millersville.

Allen and King teamed for a 6-1 win over Lafayette and a 7-5 win over Saint Francis. Earlier in the day, Allen outlasted the Red Flash's Raegen Mangan 7-5, 0-6, 10-6, and King was a 6-4, 6-4 winner against Saint Francis.

Whitney King was a three-set winner (5-7, 6-4, 10-2) over Saint Francis in the top singles flight, and she and Abby Platt went 1-1 in doubles with a win over Lafayette.

Freshman Riley Jennings earned Bucknell's fourth singles win, a 6-3, 6-3 verdict over Saint Francis.

The Bucknell Invitational resumes on Sunday at 8 a.m. The women will play two singles matches and one doubles match each.
