"Very solid races from our top four today but I was most excited about top three first-years in Ethan Pratt-Perez, Andrew Young, and David Carillo. They stepped up big and handled the 5.2 mile course as well as the top flight competition very well to be our 5-6-7 runners. They raced like veterans and obviously have a very bright future. With that said, we have some other veterans, whom I consider very good runners who seem to be struggling right now. To be good as we had hoped, we need those guys to step up. We have a nice three week training block before our next race where we will be challenging our guys to get out of their comfort zones to get to the next level."
Senior Harry Marson grabbed 57th place to lead all Bucknell runners. He recorded a time of 26:04.1.Â
Fellow senior Grayson Crockett used a late surge to push into 63rd place. The veteran runner posted a time of 26:07.0.Â
Bobby Lynam was the third Bucknell runner in the top 100. The senior runner finished 96th on a time of 26:33.0.Â
Ben Santos just missed inclusion in the top 100, by earning 101st place. The senior leader proceeded on a steady pace to a mark of 26:35.3.
Freshman Pratt-Perez rounded out the Bison scoring finishing 117th. The rookie runner pushed out fast but faded later in the race but still posted an excellent result on the lengthy course.
The Bison return to action in early October at the annual Paul Short Run.Â
