Teresa Deda Named to United Soccer Coaches Midfielders to Watch List

LEWISBURG, Pa. – One day after being named Patriot League Preseason Midfielder of the Year, Bucknell senior Teresa Deda picked up some national recognition with her inclusion on the United Soccer Coaches "Midfielders to Watch" list. Deda was one of 26 women's players cited.
The preseason watch lists are compiled and released by the Division I All-America committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and first or second-team All-Region players from 2023, who are scheduled to return for the 2024 season.
One of the catalysts of Bucknell's three straight Patriot League championships, Deda captured Patriot League Midfielder of the Year honors in both 2022 and 2023 and is a three-time First Team All-Patriot League selection. She was a United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Region pick last season, when she recorded nine goals and nine assists. She has led the league in assists in each of her first three seasons, and her 29 career assists rank second in Bucknell history and sixth in Patriot League history.
Bucknell was picked a close second behind Army West Point in the 2024 preseason poll. The Bison begin their season next Thursday at home against La Salle at 5 p.m.
