RESULTS
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Bucknell women's golf team posted 336 and 332 team scores on Monday in a challenging opening day of the Kingsmill Invitational, hosted by William & Mary. None of the 10 teams in the field posted a score better than 308 in either of the first two rounds, and the Bison are in eighth place heading into Tuesday's final 18.
The best round of the day from Bucknell's top five was an 80 from Sofia Nogalo in the morning round. Lila Smith and Nicole Yun both carded 81s in the afternoon. Katherine Vice, who is playing as an individual, shot 82-80 and is the low Bison through 36 holes at 162.
Christy Chen of Boston University and Mary Grace Dunigan of William & Mary share the individual lead at 5-over 149. Nicole Tanoue of Cal-State Northridge is one shot back.
Penn has the team lead with a 617 total (308-309), 10 shots better than Sacred Heart and Boston University. Fourth-place Radford is 20 strokes off the pace.
The final round gets underway on Tuesday morning.
