
Men's Track & Field Slots 12th On Day One of IC4A Championships

BOSTON, MASS.- The Bucknell Bison men's track & field team sits 12th after the first day of the IC4A Championships.Â

Jeffrey Cianfrocca earned fifth points for Bucknell by finishing fourth (6-4 3/4) in the high jump. He received an All-East designation for his mark.Â
Colby Belczyk finished fourth (1:04.78) in the 500-meter dash preliminaries and qualified for tomorrow's finals. His time is a personal best.Â
Rookie Lucas Williams earned two points for Bucknell in the pole vault. Williams' clearance of 15-03 resulted in seventh place and All-East honors.Â
Freshman Josh Tipton slotted ninth (21-8 3/4) in the long jump, a nice result for his first IC4A Championships. He made tomorrow's finals.Â
Five Bison finished in the top 20 of the 5000-meter run. Ben Santos, running a season-best, placed 11th (14:33.45), Henry Didden, racing a personal best, grabbed 12th (14:33.55), Grayson Crockett, also raced a personal best, earned 15th (14:35.19), Harry Marson slotted 16th (14:35.52), and Thomas White achieved 17th (14:45.79).Â
John Byrnes led the trio of Bison competing in the 800-meter run preliminaries. His time of 1:52.84 finished 13th and only missed inclusion in Bucknell's top ten by less than a second. Zachary Jelinek placed 15th (1:53.17) and Alex Simpson grabbed 16th (1:53.30).Â
Angelo Regec grabbed 14th (50-4 1/2) in the weight throw. It was a personal best throw for the junior.Â
Rayven Sample placed 20th (50.55) in the 400-meter dash preliminaries. The time represented a season-best for the senior sprinter.Â
Trent Dinant finished 25th (4:14.98) in the mile run preliminaries. The time was a personal best.Â
