ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Bucknell men's swimming & diving team registered four new program top-10 times and saw six top-eight finishes on the second day of the ECAC Championships at Lejeune Hall. Chris Fabian pulled out the highest finish of the day, taking third in the 100 backstroke. The Bison remain in fourth place with 260 points and trail third-place Princeton by just 13. Navy leads the field of 16 with 636 points, and Columbia is in second with 320.5.
Fabian finished second in the 100 backstroke prelims with a 48.33 and swam a 48.53 in the finals to end up third behind Princeton's Yanning Zhang (47.78) and Loyola's Joe Hayburn (47.27). It was Fabian's second top-eight finish of the weekend. Two other Bison scored points in the event, including a seventh-place finish for John Gehrig. Gehrig's 49.57 in the finals ranks sixth in school history. Wynne took 14th.
Three Bison also scored in the 400 IM, and Riley Twiss' 3:54.87 was good enough for fourth place. The time ranks ninth in the Bucknell record book, as the first-year finished behind a trio of Mids in the A final. Fellow rookie Caleb Kubiak won the B final with a time of 4:00.65, followed by Ed Park in 15th (4:12.05).

Kopac earned a spot in the record book with a 55.57 in the prelims and then topped that performance with a 54.72 in the finals to rank fourth all-time. It was the second time this weekend Kopac posted a program top-10 time after recording the fourth-best 200 IM on Friday.
Matt Raudabaugh and Andy Dorsel scored in the 100 breaststroke as well by finishing 11th and 16th, respectively.
Bucknell's other program top-10 time came from Dorsel in the 100 butterfly. The junior's 49.23 ranks 10th all-time and placed him 10th in the finals.
Both of Bucknell's relay teams went fifth on Saturday. Shane Wynne, Raudabaugh, Gehrig and Colin Smith posted a 1:30.52 in the 200 medley relay. Sam Sweetser, Nick Shopis, Kubiak and Park swam a 6:49.91 in the 800 freestyle relay.
