Bucknell Football 2024 Spring Ball Schedule Announced

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell football team's 2024 spring ball schedule begins on Thursday, March 21 with the first of 14 practices slated for the next five weeks. The spring schedule culminates with the annual Spring Game on Sunday, April 21.

Each weekday practice is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and Saturday sessions will begin in the mornings. Practices will be held at the Pascucci Family Athletics Complex and are open to the public free of charge. The Spring Game will be held in Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.

The Bison are entering their sixth season under head coach Dave Cecchini in 2024. Coming off a record-setting 2023 campaign in which the offense set new program highs in single-season passing yards, passing touchdowns, completions and average yards per game, the Bison return a host of key contributors from last year. Quarterback Ralph Rucker IV, wide receivers Eric Weatherly and Derrick Anderson Jr., and standout center John Ohnegian are all back for the 2024 campaign. On defense, All-Patriot League linebacker Brad Jamison headlines a talented unit of returners that gained valuable experience in 2023, as the defense tied for the league lead with 10 interceptions. Bucknell also welcomes 26 freshmen to the roster for the 2024 season.
