Women's Cross Country Places League-High 21 Student-Athletes on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison women's cross country added academic luster to its athletic success by putting a league-high 21 student-athletes on the Patriot League Fall Academic Honor Roll.Â
The total number of student-athletes to make the 2023 Patriot League Fall Academic Honor Roll is an increase of 102 student-athletes from the fall of 2022.

To be eligible for the Fall Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average (GPA) in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports. The seven sports are men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball.

Bucknell recorded a League-high 174 student-athletes on the fall academic honor roll with Lafayette (150) and Colgate (147) placing second and third, respectively. Lehigh had 142 student-athletes earn fall academic honors, with Holy Cross (127), American (92), Boston University (92), Loyola Maryland (78), Navy (77), and Army West Point (53) rounding out the totals from the Patriot League's full-member institutions. Associate members Georgetown (55) and Fordham (49) also contributed to the League's final total.
The team posted a semester GPA of 3.70. Seven student-athletes, Madeline Barber, Ally Clarke, Lauren Joyce, Keeley Misutka, Laura Posh, Caryn Rippey, and Aidan Smith recorded 4.00 marks. Misutka received Academic All-Patriot League honors.Â
