Men’s Golf Places Third at Red Flash Invitational, Hartman Runner-Up

RESULTS
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – Sparked by a runner-up effort from freshman Jack Hartman, the Bucknell men's golf team finished in third place at the Red Flash Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday at Sunnehanna Country Club. Hartman shot 72-71 for a 3-over-par total of 143, which was four shots behind medalist Nicholas Turowski of West Virginia.
After opening with a 292 team tally on Monday, the Bison followed with a 294 for a 36-hole total of 586. Youngstown State won the tournament with a 579 total, with Cleveland State second at 582. Holy Cross (593), Mount St. Mary's (599), and Monmouth (599) rounded out the top five in an eight-team field.
It was a good day for the Bison freshmen, as Hartman posted a 1-over 71, while Patrick Pritsios battled back from an early triple-bogey by birdieing four of his last six holes to shoot 72. Hartman tied for second place with Devin Smith of Mount St. Mary's, and Pritsios moved all the way up into a tie for fourth.
Bucknell also counted a 75 from Hayden Quinn and a 76 from James Key, while James Robbins shot 79.
The Bison are now set to host their annual fall invitational at Bucknell Golf Club. The three-day tournament starts on Sunday morning.
