Bucknell Men Win Distance Medley Relay at Bison Open

LEWISBURG, Pa./UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison men's track & field team posted some impressive accomplishments at two different meets, the Bison Opener and the PSU National Open, Friday night.

Bison Open Recap
The distance medley relay "A" team romped to the win. The all-freshmen crew of Carter Paul, Connor Goldfarb, Lucas Ward, and Jack Higgins was aces with a time of 10:13.61. The mark earned IC4A qualification, was nearly 11 seconds faster than the second-place quartet, and ranked #14 in Division I.
Three Bison finished in the top four of the 5000-meter run. Grant Kern led the way, finishing first on a time of 15:11.74. Jeffrey Gibbs grabbed bronze (15:21.47) and Max DiCerbo placed fourth (15:29.46).
Ethan Wolford-Tuffy finished second (21.96) in the 200-meter dash. The time unlocked IC4A qualification.
Lucas Williams tied for fifth in the pole vault on a clearance of 13-09.25.
Penn State Open Recap
Harry Marson finished third (14:52.31) in the 5000-meter run. Teammate Trent Dinant joined him in the top ten by placing tenth with a time of 15:14.91.
Brandon Foust qualified for the semifinals of the 60-meter dash. He finished 15th in the semifinals with a time of 6.94.
Hayden Singer notched 30th place in the 800-meter run.

The Bison continue with two separate meets. The PSU National Open resumes at 10 a.m. and the Bison Open restarts at 11 a.m.
