Didden Awarded Bison of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell Bison athletic department announced Monday that sophomore men's cross country runner Henry Didden was awarded Bison of the Week for his first-place finish at Saturday's RMU Colonial Invitational.Â
Didden flashed superior speed against a host of regional opponents to win gold. The second-year speedster posted a time of 24:19.4 to win the meet by nearly eight seconds. It is Didden's first career cross country victory. His triumph set the pace for the Bison men's meet win, the first since 2022.Â
"Henry has worked hard in the past 12 months, including a great summer of training, and he has taken his running to a new level," said head coach Kevin Donner. "I believe he has another jump in him which can raise him to a national level."
Didden was the first men's cross country winner since Samuel Whittaker took home the laurel on Sept. 12, 2022, making it two consecutive years the Bucknell men have won a Bison of the Week honor.
Didden and the Bison return to action at the Paul Short Run on Sept. 30.Â
