WATCHUNG, N.Y. -- First-round play at the Cornell Invitational was suspended due to darkness on Sunday at Watchung Valley GC. Inclement weather delayed the start until 2:30 p.m., and only two of Bucknell's six players in action were able to finish their rounds.
Despite the challenging conditions, freshmen Hayden Quinn and Alex Creamean both performed very well. Quinn carded a 3-under-par 68, and Creamean followed with a 1-over 71. Jake Maddaloni (+3 with two holes remaining), James Robbins (+4 with one hole left), and Andres Barraza (+5 with two holes left) will have to finish their first rounds on Monday morning, followed by the second round. James Key, playing as an individual, is even par through 16 holes.
Play is scheduled to resume at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
