LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell softball team released its 2023 Fall Ball schedule on Tuesday. The contest features an intrasquad scrimmage and five matchups against a diverse pool of opponents, including two Big Ten foes.Â
Fall ball starts on Sept. 16 with the annual Orange and Blue Scrimmage.Â
Games against non-Bucknell opponents commence on Sept. 24 with a home doubleheader against the school off I-80 in Bloomsburg. The first pitch is scheduled for noon.Â
The following Saturday, Sept. 30, Bucknell will participate in the PSU Round Robin against the host Nittany Lions and St. Bonaventure. The Route 45 Rivalry renews at 11:30 a.m., followed by the game against the Bonnies. Bucknell and Penn State clashed during the 2023 campaign.Â
The Bison take a week off before welcoming Lock Haven at Becker Field on Oct. 14 for a doubleheader starting at noon.Â
Fall ball concludes on Oct. 21 with a neutral site game against Maryland at the Little League World Series complex. The Bison narrowly lost 2-0 to ranked Maryland during the 2023 season.Â
Five freshmen, Bridget Haller, Molly Lawson, Shea Malone, Brooke Popella, and Sarah Zimmerman, will play their first games in a Bison uniform.Â
Admission to all home games is free.Â
