Women’s Lacrosse Named IWLCA Honor Squad; 14 Bison Named to Division I Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's lacrosse team once again was recognized for its classroom success on Wednesday, as it was one of 290 programs across all divisions to be named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad for the 2022-23 academic year. In addition, 14 Bison student-athletes were named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.

In order to be eligible for the Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or better. Bucknell's 2023 honorees are:

Caitlin McHale, Sr., Markets, Innovation & Design
Madison Parke, Jr., Markets, Innovation & Design
Ella Payer, Sr., Markets, Innovation & Design
Lauren Rader, Sr., Managing for Sustainability
Symone Ryans, Sr., Sociology
Jamie Tsao, Jr., Markets, Innovation & Design

To qualify as an Academic Honor Squad, a team must have compiled a 3.20 or better GPA for the academic year. Bucknell far exceeded that threshold, highlighted by a stellar 3.68 team GPA during the spring semester.

Last month, 29 members of the team were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, 27 of whom made the Bucknell Dean's List with a GPA of 3.50 or better. Eight Bison recorded perfect 4.0 GPAs in the spring semester.
