Men’s Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team, Three Bison Earn Scholar-Athlete Honors

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's tennis squad was cited as an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Monday, and seniors Ink Chen and Michael Owen along with junior Tim Zelikovsky earned Scholar-Athlete status.
ITA Scholar-Athletes must have earned a minimum 3.50 grade-point average for the 2022-23 academic year, and ITA All-Academic Teams must have combined for a 3.20 GPA for the full academic year.
Earlier this spring, the Bison placed seven team members on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, and Owen was also named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Owen, an economics major, compiled a perfect 4.0 GPA during the spring semester and was joined on the Bucknell Dean's List by Chen (psychology) and Zelikovsky (computer science).
In 2023, 959 Division I Men's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 162 men's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
