Women's Track & Field's Boyce Named Bison of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa.- Olivia Boyce was named the Bison of the Week on May 3 for her high jump performance at the Penn Relays.

Boyce competed in the collegiate division high jump event at the Penn Relays and recorded a leap of 5-6 ½, two inches better than the nearest competitor. It was Boyce's second high jump victory of the season. She previously took first place at the Lehigh Games.

Boyce and the other Bucknell high jumpers have been scorching the competition. The group has recorded victories in five out of seven meets and reset the school record twice. At the Bucknell Team Challenge, Boyce tied the school record set by teammate Abby Kates for five minutes before another teammate Karen Hull shattered it.

Her selection marks the fifth time a Bison women's track & field athlete won the honor in the 2022-23 season. Sprinter Meghan Quinn won it twice, while fellow jumpers Kates and Hull earned it once.

Boyce and the Bison compete at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships starting this Friday and continuing through Saturday.
