Bucknell’s Varsity Four Named Patriot League Boat of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – After winning both of its races against Delaware and Villanova on Saturday, the Bucknell Varsity Four has been named the Patriot League Boat of the Week. It is the first such honor for a Bison crew this spring.
Along with coxswain Molly Garrahy, Gaby Wakim, Kira Capaldi, Logan Moore, and Dehlia Rotchford comprised the Bison Varsity Four on Saturday. In its first race of the day, the 1V4+ posted a time of 6:39.65, which was four seconds faster than Delaware. Later in the afternoon, the Bison outrowed Villanova by more than 24 seconds.
It was a great day for the Bucknell Fours, as the Second Varsity Four also won both of its races.
The Bison rowing team is now preparing for the Patriot League Championships, which will be held on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass., on Friday, May 12.
