Women's Track & Field Conclude ECAC Championships

FAIRFAX, Va.- The Bucknell women's track & field team finished up at the ECAC Championships on Sunday. The Bison ended up with 25.5 points to finish 14th out of the participating teams.Â
Results
"Overall, I felt the IC4A-ECAC Championships went well for our programs," said head coach Kevin Donner. "We had many of our top athletes opt out of this weekend due to graduation and we were far from full strength. Our women still finished in the top 15 as a team and our men were 20th and we had multiple people score points and earn All-East honors, many of them were younger athletes. We still had 36 total athletes between both genders and the experience we gained for next year is priceless."
The 4x800-meter relay quartet of Lauren Shaffer, Caryn Rippey, Samantha Blackman, and Grace Vives finished in ninth place and narrowly missed bringing home a point for Bucknell. The foursome recorded a time of 9:18.66.
Christine Ajao placed 16th in the discus throw. The sophomore flung the sphere for a distance of 127-03.Â
