Tereska Throws the Javelin at the NCAA East Preliminaries

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- Freshman Brylee Tereska completed her impressive rookie campaign today by competing in the javelin throw at the NCAA East Preliminaries.

Results

"Brylee had a solid effort today," said head coach Kevin Donner. "She was seeded 43rd entering the event and finished 38th. It was a learning experience, and with her only being a freshman, she will have this opportunity again and be better physically and mentally prepared. We are excited about her future as a javelin thrower."

The Bethlehem, Pa. native finished 38th out of the 48 best competitors in the east with her toss of 139-1. She placed 12th out of 16 in her flight group.

Teammate Karen Hull competes in the high jump at 2:30 pm on Saturday.

The top 12 finishers will travel to Austin for the NCAA National Finals.
