Richter Places 4th, Team 6th at Navy Spring Invitational

RESULTS
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Bucknell freshman Paige Richter turned in her third top-10 finish of the season and her best 36-hole score with a terrific performance at the Navy Spring Invitational over the weekend. Richter backed up her opening-round 72 with a 2-over-par 74 on Sunday, and she finished in fourth place in a field of 43 players with a 146 total.
As a team, Bucknell posted a final-round 317 – seven strokes better than its first-round score – and finished in sixth place with a 641 total. Dartmouth ran away with the team title with a 6-over 582, 19 shots better than runner-up Yale.
Richter made two birdies, four bogeys, and 12 pars on the way to her 74. She was 1-under over her final eight holes to finish alone in fourth place. Navy's Stephanie Lee fired a 67 on Sunday, including a run of five birdies in a row, and earned medalist honors with a 4-under total of 140. Dartmouth's Katherine Sung posted a pair of 71s to finish two strokes back.
Earlier this season, Richter finished third at the SMSU Spring Classic and sixth at the Bucknell Invitational.
Bucknell also counted an 80 from Kayla Yi, an 81 from Tara Thomas, and an 82 from Kelsey Yi.
The Bison will now prep for the Patriot League Championship, which will be held next Friday through Sunday at Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, Va.
