Bucknell's NCAA Championships History
• Since the Bucknell wrestling program was reinstated ahead of the 2006-07 season, thanks in large part to a generous donation from Bill Graham '62, 23 different wrestlers have combined to earn 48 NCAA berths and five All-America certificates.
• This year, Bucknell's three NCAA qualifiers are the most the program has had since 2017.
• Since the program was revived, five Bison have qualified for four NCAA Championships: David Marble (133, 2007-10), Andy Rendos (165, 2007-10), Joe Stolfi (285, 2013-16), current volunteer assistant coach Tyler Smith (141, 2015-18) and Zach Hartman (157/165, 2019-22).
• At last year's NCAA Championships, Hartman went 2-2 and ended his stay in the first consolation round of 8. 12th-seeded Hartman earned wins in the first round and in the second consolation round of 16.
Bucknell's Wrestlers Against First-Round Opponent
• Kurt Phipps will face Minnesota's eighth-seeded Aaron Nagao in the first round. Nagao defeated Phipps earlier this year by a 10-3 decision at the Southern Scuffle on Jan. 2. He's currently ranked No. 5 in the country by Intermat.
• Nagao, a redshirt freshman, finished second at the Big Ten Championships and is 18-4 on the season. This will be his first appearance at the NCAA Championships. Note: Phipps' original first-round opponent changed after a higher seed was removed from the tournament.
• The winner between Phipps and Nagao will face the winner of ninth-seeded Micky Phillippi of Pitt and Wyatt Henson of Oklahoma.
• Dylan Chappell will challenge fourth-seeded Caleb Henson of Virginia Tech in the first round. It will be the first meeting between the two wrestlers.
• Henson, a freshman, is ranked No. 8 in the country by Intermat and captured an ACC title. He's 21-3 on the season. Note: Chappell's original first-round opponent changed after a higher seed was removed from the tournament.
• The winner between Chappell and Henson will face the winner of 13th-seeded Kellyn March of North Dakota State and 20th-seeded Graham Rooks of Indiana.
• Dorian Crosby will take on Arizona State's fifth-seeded Cohlton Schultz in the first round. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two.
• Schultz is ranked No. 4 in the country by Intermat and enters the tournament with a 20-2 record. The redshirt sophomore is a two-time heavyweight title winner in the Pac-12 and finished runner-up at last year's NCAA Championships.
• The winner between Crosby and Schultz will challenge either 12th-seeded Colton McKiernan of SIUE or 21st-seeded Nathan Taylor of Lehigh.
Bucknell's Wrestlers Against the Field
• In 2022-23, Kurt Phipps faced 12 of the 33 wrestlers in the NCAA Championships' 133-pound bracket, going 8-8 against those opponents. He was 8-3 against seeds 20-33.
• Throughout his career, Phipps is 11-11 against wrestlers in this year's 133-pound bracket.

The sophomore only began wrestling at the weight class in late January. Chappell won 8-4 over Penn's 11th-seeded Doug Zapf and lost by major decision to top-seeded Yianni Diakomihalis of Cornell in the EIWA title bout.
• Dorian Crosby faced seven wrestlers from the 285-pound bracket during the 2022-23 season and went 2-6 in those matchups. He's 3-7 all-time against this year's 285-pound qualifiers.
• This year, Crosby defeated 15th-seeded Grady Griess from Navy and 29th-seeded Jaron Smith from Maryland.
