RESULTS
PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Paige Richter carded a team-best 79 to lead the Bucknell contingent on day one of Lipscomb's Lady Bison Bay Point Classic. Bucknell opened up with a 347 team score in this early spring event and sit in a tie for 13th place after the first of three rounds.
Richter made a pair of birdies on the way to her 79, putting her in a tie for 29th place. Tatum McKelvey followed with an 88, Kelsey Yi and Kayla Yi both shot 90, and Tara Thomas posted a 91.
Host Lipscomb compiled a 291 to take a four-shot lead over Florida Gulf Coast, which was the only other squad to break 300 with a 295.
Lipscomb also has the top two individuals. Lauren Thompson fired a 4-under-par 68 to grab a two-shot lead over teammate Siarra Stout.
Round two gets underway on Monday morning at 8 a.m.
