Women's Water Polo Heads to Princeton Invite

LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Bucknell women's water polo team (4-11) heads to the Princeton invite for four games against diverse foes. The Bison will battle Iona on Friday, Siena on Saturday, and finish the weekend against LIU & Villanova on Sunday.

The Inside "Herd" on the Bison

Bucknell went 1-2 last weekend at the Curtis Robinette Memorial Tournament. The Bison defeated Iona, 16-15, in a thriller but fell 13-11 to La Salle and 16-14 to St. Francis Brooklyn.
Isabella Monaghan led the team with nine goals scored, including the game-winner versus Iona.
Bucknell is 12-7 all-time in the series versus Iona. The two teams met last weekend, and Bucknell pulled out the 16-15 win.
Siena is 1-3 on the season and has been on bye for three weeks. The Saints went 4-25 last year. Bucknell is 14-0 all-time against Siena.
LIU was ranked most of the season before recently failing out of the top 25. This will be the first in-pool meeting between the schools.
The Bison rematch against Villanova after pulling out a 10-9 victory over the Wildcats at the Bucknell Invitational. Bucknell owns the series at a 21-6 advantage with 19 straight wins.

Up Next

The Bison head to the Wolverine Invitational on March 4-5. Bucknell will play conference games against Michigan and Saint Francis University intersecting, with contests against Marist and San Jose State.
