Water Polo's Mogultay, Butler Earn All-Conference Honors

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Bucknell men's water polo team had two players recognized with All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference honors for 2023. Hasan Mogultay, a junior center defender from Istanbul, Turkey, earned a spot on the First Team, and Walker Butler, a senior attacker from Blue Bell, Pa., secured a place on the Second Team.

Mogultay had a standout season, scoring 40 goals to make him the second-highest-ranked scorer on the team. During the 2023 MAWPC Championship tournament at Kinney Natatorium, Mogultay had an essential assist and goal in extending Bucknell's lead over Mount St. Mary's. Mogultay has helped the Bison secure three Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Tournament appearances during his time in Lewisburg. In his rookie season, he received All-MAWPC Second Team honors after scoring 42 goals.

Butler is a stable presence for the Bison and wraps up his career for the Orange and Blue with the first all-conference accolade in his career. Butler has been a part of four MAWPC Tournament appearances and played a part in this year's win over Mount St. Mary's, notching a goal to extend Bucknell's lead. Butler ranked fifth on the team with 16 goals this season.
