Women's Tennis Falls 5-2 on the Road at Ferris State in Fall Finale

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – Bucknell women's tennis wrapped up its final competition of the fall semester on Saturday with a 5-2 loss at Ferris State. Freshman Jaycie Mair and senior Madi Sebulsky earned singles wins for the Bison, but the Bulldogs swept the doubles point and took four of six in singles.
Bucknell fell to 0-2 in duals this season, earning two singles wins in each match. Three singles matchups went beyond two sets on Saturday, including both Bison wins. Mair defeated Ana Hernandez in comeback fashion with a 2-6, 6-3, 10-2 decision at No. 3 singles, and Sebulsky won 1-6, 6-3, 10-8 over Katherine Earnest at No. 6 singles.
On court one, Whitney King won the opening set 7-5 before dropping the next two.
Bucknell returns to play with its first Patriot League match against Boston U. on Saturday, Jan. 20.
