LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell men's basketball team will be conducting three "Ballin' with the Bison" youth clinics at the Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA at the Miller Center. The first clinic is set for this Sunday, Oct. 15, and additional events will take place on Dec. 28 as well as on a date to be determined next spring. | REGISTER HERE
Kids up to high school age are invited to attend Sunday's clinic, which runs from 12-1 p.m. The YMCA is holding a 3v3 tournament immediately after the clinic, and the Bison players will also be in attendance for the first hour of the tournament.
All YMCA members will receive special benefits to Bucknell home men's basketball games during the 2023-24 season, starting with YMCA Day at the season opener against Delaware on Nov. 6. All timeout and halftime fan contests will include YMCA kids during that game.
In addition, YMCA members who attend the Nov. 6 game will be entered into a drawing to be a Sideline Coach at a future home game.
The Miller Center for Recreation and Wellness is a community-based resource powered by Evangelical Community Hospital and Geisinger. Fitness operations, sports & recreation, childcare, and general memberships are managed by the Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA.
"The Bucknell men's basketball program has deep connections to the Lewisburg community and the entire Susquehanna Valley," said head coach John Griffin III. "These clinics are a great opportunity for our players to engage with young people while sharing their love of basketball. We are proud to partner with the YMCA and the Miller Center, who serve an important mission of promoting health and wellness throughout our community."
Under the direction of Griffin, a former Bison standout guard, the Bison are currently in the midst of preseason workouts. Single-game and season tickets are ON SALE NOW via the Bucknell Campus Box Office.
