Aleksa Stefanovic of Bucknell Men's Water Polo Named Bison of the Week

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Aleksa Stefanovic has been named the Bison of the Week, the athletic department announced on Monday afternoon. Stefanovic helped the Bison to a 3-1 weekend, including two big wins to open MAWPC play over Johns Hopkins and Wagner.
Stefanovic, a first-year from Belgrade, Serbia, has started his career at Bucknell strongly, scoring multiple goals in each of his first seven games for the Orange and Blue. After a one-goal game against McKendree snapped that streak, Stefanovic responded later on that day with a career-best five goals, the second-most by a Bison player this season behind Hasan Mogultay's six-goal performance against Cal Lutheran on the opening day of the season.
Stefanovic converted each of his penalty shots in the win over Wagner, including a big goal from the area to start the fourth quarter to extend Bucknell's lead to 9-7. The first-year has scored at least three goals in all but two of Bucknell's contests this season.
Stefanovic and the Bison men's water polo team returns to action this weekend for four games in Erie, Pennsylvania.
