Women’s Lacrosse Named IWLCA Honor Squad; 11 Named to Division I Academic Honor Roll

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Bucknell women's lacrosse team was recognized for its academic prowess on Wednesday, as it was one of 326 programs across all divisions to be named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad for the 2021-22 academic year. In addition, 11 Bison student-athletes were named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.

In order to be eligible for the Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or better. Bucknell's 2022 honorees are:

Caitlin McHale, Jr. Markets, Innovation & Design
Abby Neff, Sr., History/English
Ella Payer, Jr., Markets, Innovation & Design
Lauren Rader, Jr., Managing for Sustainability
Amy Roche, Sr., Managing for Sustainability
Macie Ruda, Sr., English/Creative Writing
Emily Sullivan, Sr., Psychology
Jamie Tsao, Jr., Markets, Innovation & Design
Caitlin Tucker, Sr., Markets, Innovation & Design
Katie Wendell, Sr., Biology

To qualify as an Academic Honor Squad, a team must have compiled a 3.20 or better GPA for the academic year. Bucknell far exceeded that threshold, highlighted by a stellar 3.52 team GPA during the spring semester.

Last week, 27 members of the team were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, and all 27 also made the Bucknell Dean's List with a GPA of 3.50 or better.
