Bucknell Men's Water Polo Places 16 on ACWPC Academic Team

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Bucknell University men's water polo team placed 16 student-athletes on the ACWPC All-Academic Team, the organization announced.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the athlete must attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Divided into three teams based on cumulative grade point average (GPA), 182 athletes garnered Outstanding (4.00-3.71), 193 Superior (3.70-3.41) and 230 Excellent (3.40-3.20) recognition from 46 teams.

Additionally, Bucknell earned a top-ten ranking in team GPA, ranking eighth in the country with an average of 3.38 up from a 3.32 in the winter of 2021.
Four Bison players earned outstanding honors in Liam Stott, Zachary Yardley, and Bence Fazekas. The honor for Fazekas was his second straight outstanding honor, and the fourth time that the senior has been a member of the academic squad. Fellow senior Jack Otto also earned his fourth straight selection to the academic team. Stott is also a two-time Outstanding honoree.
