ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Led by a career-best 74 from Sun Woo Jeon, the Bucknell women's golf team knocked 19 strokes off its first-round score and posted a 317 tally on Saturday at the Patriot League Championship at the USNA Golf Course.
The Bison remained in fifth place with a 653 total through 36 holes, 12 shots in front of sixth-place Holy Cross. It's a tight race at the top, as Richmond moved to the top of the standings with a second-round 302. The Spiders are at 613 for the tournament, one shot in front of Boston University, four ahead of Lehigh, and nine better than host Navy.
Jeon was the story of the day for the Bison. She made five birdies on the way to her 2-over-par 74, which was tied for the second-best round in the entire field on Saturday. Three of those birdies came on the back nine, where she posted a 1-under 35.
Jeon's terrific round vaulted her up 13 places into a tie for 11th on the individual leaderboard. She will enter Sunday's final round one shot out of a spot in the top 10.

Boston University's Flair Kuan posted a 74 to grab the individual lead. Kuan is at 6-over 150 for the tournament, one better than Richmond's Rory Weinfurther, and Lehigh's Sophie Holland and Madison Pineda.
The third and final round will get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. Bucknell will play alongside Navy and Holy Cross.
