Men's Track & Field Wraps Up Day Two of Bison Outdoor Classic

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell men's track & field wrapped up the second day of the Bison Outdoor Classic on Friday and saw several athletes record new personal bests in a field of over 120 schools. The Bison posted several strong efforts in both distance and field events, and senior Aiden Brewer collected another event win while completing the decathlon.
Brewer, who won the decathlon's 400 on Thursday, took first in the 1500 with a 4:26.53 to pull in a total of 5,349 points and finish 11th in the multi event.
Also earning a top 15 finish on Friday was Noah Martin in the 3000m steeplechase. Martin took second in his heat and placed 13th out of 49 finishers with a 9:24.85. Also finishing 13th overall was Ryan Miele in the unseeded 5000. The senior ran a personal-best 15:25.95.
Ian Lawrence posted a personal-best 21-4 to take 27th of 59 in the long jump and was followed by teammates Miguel Negrete (36th, 20-6.25), Robert Hite (39th, 20-3.75) and Chris Sims (43rd, 19-10.75).
Senior Matt Cervon added a personal best as well, running the unseeded 1500 in 4:01.50 for 46th out of 95 finishers.
In just his second outdoor 5k, first-year Ben Santos placed 33rd of 95 finishers with a 14:42.47.
Bucknell wraps up the final day of the Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday. Men's events are scheduled to resume at 10:55 a.m. with the 3000.
