Women's Tennis Downed by Hawaii

HONOLULU, Hawaii – In its second match in as many days, the Bucknell women's tennis team was downed by Hawaii, 7-0, on Thursday at the UH Tennis Complex.
The Bison (9-5, 0-0 PL) closed their trip to Hawaii with their second defeat by a strong Rainbow Wahine team (6-3, 3-0 Big West).
At first singles, Daniela Bellini gave Ana Vilcek a battle; the senior captain fell in three sets, 6-4, 1-6, 6-10. Madi Sebulsky also had a strong showing on the sixth court, ceding a tight 6-3, 6-4 decision to Nidhi Surapaneni.
As in the Wednesday match, the majority of Bucknell's singles players competed up one spot from their usual position. The Bison also utilized different doubles tandems than usual, most notably having Laurel Utterback team with Bellini in the top spot.
Bucknell next travels to George Mason (March 26 at 2 p.m.) before opening Patriot League action at Navy (March 27 at 10 a.m.).
