Bison Recognize Class of 2022
• Before Sunday's dual with American, the Bison will recognize their six seniors: Zach Hartman, Frank Houser, Noah Levett, Brett Rezendes, Brandon Seidman and Ty Williams.
• Entering this weekend's action, the class of 2022 has combined for 146 victories, including 65 in dual competition.
• Hartman is a two-time All-American, EIWA champion and two-time EIWA runner up. He also currently ranks eighth in Bucknell history with 25 career pins and has gone a sterling 41-6 in duals.
• Levett and Seidman have also represented the Bison at the EIWA Championships, with Seidman joining Hartman on the 2021 podium.Â
• Hartman and Seidman are serving as team captains this year with junior Darren Miller.

• Bucknell was ranked 19th in the first NWCA Division I Mid-Major Wrestling Coaches Poll of the 2021-22 campaign.
• The Bison are currently 11-3 (6-1 EIWA) following their 21-12 loss to Army West Point on Jan. 29 and their 17-15 comeback victory over Rider on Jan. 30.
• By starting 10-2, the 2021-22 Bucknell team matched the 1992-93 squad for the best start in program history.
• Last season, Bucknell placed a wrestler on the EIWA podium at all 10 weight classes and qualified two for the NCAA Championships.
• The Bison returned two-time All-American Zach Hartman, who is also the defending EIWA champion at 165 pounds.
• Hartman's sixth-place showing at the 2021 NCAA Championships was the third-highest finish by a Bison. He also became Bucknell's second NCAA semifinalist.

• Bucknell posted a 10-6 (9-3 EIWA) record in 2019-20 dual action. The Bison reached the double digits in dual victories for the first time since 2016-17; their total of EIWA victories also matched their 2016-17 figure.

• Head coach Dan Wirnsberger is in his 17th season at the helm of the Bucknell wrestling program. He has scored 141 career victories, good for second in school history; he was also tabbed as the 2015 EIWA6 Coach of the Year after the Bison placed third at the EIWA Championships and qualified four wrestlers for the NCAA Championships.
• Wirnsberger and Bob Ferraro, who led Bucknell to a 169-175-6 record from 1974 to 1997, are the program's only head coaches to reach the 100-win plateau.
• Four wrestlers have started all 14 of the Bison's 2021-22 duals to date: Seidman (125), Phipps (133), Nick Delp (157) and McCready (197). That group includes one senior (Seidman), one junior (McCready) and two sophomores (Phipps & Delp).

A Look Back at Bucknell's Duals with Army West Point and Rider
• After falling to Army West Point, 21-12, on Jan. 29, Bucknell scored a 17-15 comeback victory over Rider the next day.
• Against the Broncs, with the Bison trailing by a 15-10 margin entering the final two bouts, Kolby DePron (149) and Nick Delp (157) scored back-to-back victories to propel their team to a comeback win.
• DePron started the late rally with a commanding 15-2 major decision over Bryan Miraglia, during which he clocked an incredible 4:23 of riding time.
• Delp's dual-clinching victory over Alec Bobchin came down to the wire. Trailing 4-2 with less than a minute to go, Delp pulled off an acrobatic escape and then scored a takedown; he ultimately rode out Bobchin for the remaining 30 seconds to erase his opponent's riding time point and emerge a 5-4 victor.
• The Black Knights snapped Bucknell's seven-dual winning streak by taking six of the 10 bouts contested. For the Bison, then No. 17 Zach Hartman dispatched then No. 28 Dalton Harkins by a 6-2 decision at 165 pounds to secure his 15th career victory over a nationally ranked opponent.
• Hartman, who added a 10-1 major decision over Rider's Michael Wilson, and Brandon Seidman (125) both went 2-0 on the weekend. Seidman edged Army West Point's Ryan Chauvin, 3-2, on a last-second takedown and was a decisive 8-2 victor over Rider's Tyler Klinsky.
• DePron scored his team-leading 20th win of the season while Hartman moved to 19-3 (11-1 dual). Kurt Phipps (133), who had his dual winning streak snapped at nine with his loss against Rider, is now 12-2 (7-0 EIWA) in dual competition; Phipps also stands third behind DePron and Hartman in overall victories (17).
Navy at a Glance
• Navy is currently 3-5 (1-4 EIWA) following its 0-3 weekend against Columbia (15-20), No. 11 Cornell (9-34) and Binghamton (16-19).
• At the 2021 EIWA Championships, the Midshipmen took second behind Lehigh with 129 points. Cody Trybus (141) led the way by winning his second-straight EIWA title.
• Nine Midshipmen qualified for the 2021 NCAA Championships, with five advancing to the second day.
• Josh Koderhandt (26th at 133), Andrew Cerniglia (26th at 157), Jake Koser (27th at 197) and Grady Griess (32nd at 285) were ranked in this week's Intermat poll.
