Bucknell Men's Water Polo Announces 2021 Class

LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Bucknell men's water polo head Head Coach John McBride has announced the addition of five incoming student-athletes to the program for the 2021 fall season. Â
The class hails from three different states, as well as Turkey. Â Mason Maclear, JC Pompa, Shay Gillearn, Hasan Mogultay, and Jack Bruce will join a Bucknell program that has captured the last two MAWPC titles, and has also earned back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. Â

Cutler Bay, Fla./Gulliver Prep

Before Bucknell: Lettered five times for the water polo team and four times as a member of the swimming team at Gulliver Prep...Named Miami Herald First Team All-Dade as a sophomore and as a senior...also named Most Improved Player as a sophomore...Two-year team captain...selected as Most Accomplished Athlete at Gulliver Prep as a senior...Named Florida 2021 Mr. Water Polo and Offensive Player of the Year...Helped team to FHSAA State Championship in both 2019 and 2021, and a 68-1 record overall...contribted 87 goals, 30 assists, 59 steals, while scoring nine goals in the state final...member of Miami Riptides Water Polo Club and the Venezuelan National Team.

Before Bucknell: Lettered three years in swimming and water polo at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, Calif...helped team to a perfect record in water polo for three years and a third-place finish at the State Championship in 2018.
