Duo Earn Honor for Second Straight Year
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Seniors Ally Furano and Kali Hyham each earned Honorable Mention All-American honors, the ACWPC announced on Thursday afternoon.
This marks the second straight year that both Hyham and Furano earned the honor for the Bison, and Furano has now earned the distinction for three straight seasons. The duo also becomes the first pair of Bison Student-Athletes to earn Honorable Mention All-American honors twice since Kandis Canonica and Valentina Rozas each earned the distinction twice in 2009-10. A. Furano also becomes just the second Bison to earn Honorable Mention All-American honors three times, after Rozas earned the honor three times from 2008-10.
Furano graduates from Bucknell with a plethora of honors after earning All-Conference accolades for two straight years, and finished her career as Bucknell's all-time leading goal scorer with 293 goals, and is second all-time in points with 380. The native of Stamford, Conn. recently earned the prestigious Bradley N. Tufts award from Bucknell University athletics for exceptional athletic achievement and contribution to Bucknell athletics.
Hyham also made her mark in the Bucknell record books, where she will graduate ranked sixth in career goals with 196 despite having two shortened seasons, and also appears twice on Bucknell's single season ejections drawn list.
The two played a huge part in one of Bucknell's most successful stretches in program history in which the team finished second and third at the 2021 and 2019 CWPA Championships, respectively. Both finishes for the Bison were program-bests at the time, and the two helped the Orange and Blue to an exemplary 64-38 record during their time in Lewisburg.
