Abaza of Bucknell Men's Tennis Voted to All-Patriot League First Team

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Bucknell men's tennis senior Marwan Abaza has been voted to the six-player First Team All-Patriot League squad for the first time in his career, as announced by the league office on Friday. Abaza collected five doubles victories and two wins at No. 1 singles to earn the recognition in his final spring with the Bison.
Abaza adds the honor to three Patriot League Player of the Week awards he's collected over his career, including one this season following a dominant performance against Loyola (Md.). He helped guide the Bison to the four seed in the Patriot League Tournament this spring and earned a 6-0 win in the quarterfinals at No. 1 doubles.
After joining the Bison in the spring of 2019, Abaza rose quickly to the top position in the lineup and has served as a two-time team captain. Despite battling injuries and shortened seasons, he finishes his career with 22 singles victories and 20 doubles wins. Abaza is also a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and was a 2020 ITA Scholar-Athlete.
Navy swept the major awards after finishing the regular season undefeated and winning the Patriot League title.
