About the Bison
- Bucknell will be back at the Patriot League Outdoor Championships for the first time since May 2019, and will look to improve upon a third-place finish two years ago.
- The Bison return several notable performers from the meet, including Alex Dessoye and Robert Dessoye, who ran legs on Bucknell's 4x400 team that finished third. The squad ran the second-fastest time in program history at the meet, (3:11.76), and was the fastest time by a Bison 4x400 unit since 2014. A. Dessoye also scored in the 400 individually with a personal-best time of 48.62, which ranks in a tie for tenth in the Bucknell record books with Robert. R. Dessoye scored in the 800 individually with a fifth-place finish that ranked eighth in the Bucknell record books at the time.
- Bucknell broke the school record in the 4x800 at the 2019 Outdoor Championships. R. Dessoye and Owen Concaugh both return from that unit that also included Jake Stupak and Scott Gulizio.
- Nicholas Marino will look to challenge in the pole vault this year after placing fourth at the 2019 Outdoor Championships (16-2.75) and qualifying for the NCAA East Preliminaries in the last outdoor season.
- Jordan Montero returns for the Bison in the javelin, and had a solid day at that meet in placing fifth (205-1).
- Connor McMenamin also returns for the Bison. The senior has finished runner-up at the past two outdoor championships, and has improved even further as a senior, running a Bucknell top five time (8:56.56) in the steeplechase in a tough field at the Virginia Challenge on April 18.
- Evan Minor also had an impressive performance at the Virginia Challenge in the 10000 (30:06.77), which was a personal best by nearly two minutes. Minor will look to compete in his first ever Patriot League Championships in track over the weekend, and his time ranks first in the Patriot League this year.
- Ian Lawrence narrowly missed scoring for the Bison in the high jump at the 2019 Outdoor Championships in finishing ninth. Jack Memoli also placed ninth in the 110 hurdles (14.92).
- Bucknell placed third the last time the meet was held at Army in 2015 with 137 points. Christian Lupica took gold in the 110 meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles, while Jordan Jackson, John Westwood, Alex Jagelsky, and Andrew Garcia-Garrison combined to win the 4x800 meter relay.
- Bucknell will travel to the Army Twilight Meet on Friday, May 7.
