EIWA Releases 2021-22 Preseason Rankings

Zach Hartman holds top spot at 165 pounds
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Seven Bucknell wrestlers appeared in the 2021-22 EIWA preseason rankings, headlined by defending EIWA champion Zach Hartman holding the top spot at 165 pounds.
Other Bison who appeared in the EIWA's rankings include Darren Miller (5th at 133 & 141), Vincent Andreano (7th at 174), Mason McCready (7th at 197), Dorian Crosby (8th at 285), Kurt Phipps (8th at 141) and Brandon Seidman (8th at 125).
Hartman, a two-time All-American and Bucknell's second NCAA semifinalist, leads a strong 2021-22 team featuring seven returning EIWA placewinners. The Bison open their 2021-22 campaign at George Mason's Patriot Duals on Saturday, Nov. 13. They will face Averett (10 a.m.), George Mason (11:30 a.m.) and Bellarmine (1 p.m.) during that event.
Highlights of Bucknell's competitive schedule include its home opener against Michigan State (Dec. 3), its regular-season finale at Oklahoma State (Feb. 18) and 10 duals against EIWA opponents. In addition, the Bison are set to attend the return of the prestigious Ken Kraft Midlands Championships (Dec. 29-30), where Hartman placed third at 157 pounds in 2018 and sixth at 165 pounds in 2019.
