Women’s Golf in 10th at Navy Fall Invitational

RESULTS
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Bucknell women's golf team shot 328 on day one of the Navy Fall Invitational, and the Bison are in 10th place at the tournament's midway point.
Freshman Tara Thomas was the low Bison on Saturday with an 81, highlighted by a finishing birdie on No. 18. Sun Woo Jeon also birdied 18 to shoot 82, and Cristina Canales also shot 82. Sahana Paravantavida posted an 83, and Bucknell discarded Kayla Yi's 88.
Tatum McKelvey posted an 83 playing as an individual.
The Bison are a solid 14 shots in front of 11th-place La Salle, and they are five behind ninth-place Wagner. Richmond, a member of the Patriot League in women's golf, shot 304 on Saturday and has a one-shot lead over Sacred Heart. Delaware State (309) Fairleigh Dickinson (311) and Navy (312) round out the top five.
The round of the day was a 5-under 67 from Delaware State's Nattavadee Khunusri, who made seven birdies on the way to a six-shot lead over three players at 1-over.
The second and final round gets underway on Sunday at 8 a.m.
