LEWISBURG, Pa. – Head coach Jackie Dando announced Friday that 11 incoming first years are set to join the Bucknell women's lacrosse team.
Â
"I'm very excited to welcome our incoming class to campus this fall," Dando said. "I look forward to each individual bringing her unique set of skills and experiences to the program. As a class, I expect them to make a difference right away. They will be instrumental in advancing the program."
Â
The newcomers hail from seven different states: Connecticut (3), New York (2), Pennsylvania (2), California, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Texas. The class includes five midfielders, four attackers and two defenders. Â

Dando, who won better than 62 percent of her games as Lebanon Valley College's head coach, was named Bucknell's head coach on December 23, 2019. She led the Bison to a 3-5 record during a 2020 campaign abbreviated due to the COVID-19 public health threat. She won her first two games at the helm of the program, as Bucknell dispatched Sacred Heart (18-9) and Binghamton (16-9) in commanding fashion.
Â
The Bison lost 11 seniors to graduation following the 2020 season, including Jessie Britton, a two-time Academic All-Patriot League pick who started all 41 of Bucknell's games over the past three seasons at defense, and Morgan Steinhacker, who left Lewisburg slotted second in school history in single-game draw controls (10) and sixth in career draw controls (118). They also graduated Tegan Warren and Lillie Hunt, who were among their top point producers in 2020 and 2019.
